SøREN LORENSEN FURROWS

‘Furrows’ is the atmospheric new release from Søren Lorensen. This instrumental comes from the minds of members of Aqualung and Goldfrapp, with influence from minimalist composers Phillip Glass and Steve Reich filling every corner. Built on string loops with pulsing, pushing rhythms, the track creates a shimming sound that matches the otherworldly animated video which accompanies the track. The string sounds on the track come from Davide Rossi, with Matt Hales stating when he heard the loops: “It was instantaneously gripping. They were all exquisitely made and beautiful sounding - normally you don't get access to that kind of quality work without really paying for it or it being a massive undertaking”. ‘Furrows’ comes from their upcoming debut album Lake Constance, due for an April 3rd release. - Dan Peeke
